HIghlightMidwestWhen I first heard about the Highlight Midwest conference I knew it was something we wanted to support. The event will be held on October 23 at 1312 Locust in downtown Des Moines, and will serve as a way to highlight Midwest companies who are innovative in their approach to business.

The day will include presentations from actual business owners and entrepreneurs talking about their business services and sharing their insights about managing their company.

Lessing-Flynn was asked to put together some creative for the event and I think our Art Director, Chris Hanson knocked it out of the park with the 2009 logo.

LF also provided some space planning support and additional creative that will be at the event.

Highlight Midwest is a platform for small business owners, technology companies, entrepreneurs, freelancers and those looking to start their own business in the Midwest. Anyone looking to learn more about entrepreneurship and wanting to discover innovations coming out of the Midwest are welcomed to join.

The day long conference will include presentations from actual business owners and entrepreneurs talking about their business services and sharing their insights about managing their company.

In its second year, Highlight Midwest is a revolving conference that rotates city locations; Kansas City (2008), Des Moines (2009). The 2010 location is still to be determined. This years’ event will be held at 1312 Locust Street in downtown Des Moines.

The event is provided at no cost to support entrepreneurs and increase awareness of the companies and innovations happening in the Midwest.

You can follow Highlight Midwest on Twitter and through #HMDM. Please click here for the official news release.

You can also get involved. Tweet about the event, invite people through Facebook and by all means find yourself at 1312 Locust on October 23!
